GUÍA PARA LOS AUTORES

 

 

Revista Vectores de Investigación (RVI) es una revista que comprende todas las disciplinas relacionadas con las ciencias sociales, humanidades y salud, a la diversidad de enfoques y metodologías, aunque ello no le representa ninguna responsabilidad en cuanto al contenido de los artículos. Los artículos son revisados por dos pares ciegos. Los originales que se entreguen para su publicación pasarán por un proceso editorial que se desarrollará en varias fases:

 

1. Los trabajos que se entreguen a RVI para su publicación deberán ser de carácter eminentemente académico. Por la naturaleza de la revista, es claro que no se aceptarán artículos de género periodístico o comentarios generales sobre algún tema.

 

2. El nombre del autor(es) u otra forma de identificación sólo deberá figurar en una carátula.

 

3. Las colaboraciones deberán presentarse en su versión final y completas, ya que no se admitirán cambios una vez iniciado el proceso de dictaminación y producción.

 

4. Una vez estipulado que el artículo cumple con los requisitos establecidos por la revista, será enviado a dos lectores anónimos, quienes determinarán: A. Publicar sin cambios. B. Publicar cuando se hayan cumplido las correcciones menores. C. Publicar una vez que se haya efectuado una revisión a fondo y D. Rechazar. En caso de discrepancia entre ambos resultados, el texto será enviado a un tercer árbitro, cuya decisión definirá su publicación o no. Los resultados del proceso de dictamen académico serán inapelables en todos los casos. Los trabajos enviados por académicos de alguna institución serán siempre sometidos a consideración de árbitros externos a ella.

 

5. El(los) autor(es) concede(n) a RVI el permiso para que su material teórico se difunda en la revista impresa y medios magnéticos, fotográficos e internet. Los derechos patrimoniales de los artículos publicados en RVI son del autor, compartidos con el Centro de Investigación de Estudios Comparados de América Latina (CIECAL) conjuntamente con el Instituto de Estudios Históricos y Económicos de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, en cuanto puede reproducirlo ambos, tras la aceptación académica y editorial del original para que éste se publique y distribuya tanto en versión impresa como electrónica.

 

6. Asimismo, el(los) autor(es) conserva(n) sus derechos morales conforme lo establece la ley. El autor principal recibirá una forma de cesión de derechos patrimoniales que deberá ser firmada por él, en el entendido de que ha obtenido el consentimiento de los demás autores, si los hubiere. Por otra parte, los autores podrán usar el material de su artículo en otros trabajos o libros publicados por ellos mismos, con la condición de citar a RVI como la fuente original de publicación de dicho texto. Es responsabilidad del autor obtener por escrito la autorización correspondiente para todo aquel material que forme parte de su artículo y que se encuentre protegido por la Ley de Derechos de Autor.

 

7. La colaboración deberá incluir la siguiente información: A. Título del trabajo, de preferencia breve, que refiera claramente el contenido. Se aceptan los subtítulos para aclarar y ampliar el contenido de las colaboraciones. B. Un resumen en la lengua original en que está escrito el artículo que no exceda las 150 palabras, con información concisa acerca del contenido: principales resultados, método y conclusiones adquiridas. Deberá ir acompañado de una relación de entre tres y cinco palabras clave para efectos de indización bibliográfica. La redacción de RVI se encargará de las respectivas traducciones, en el caso que el autor no lo presente. C. Una portada de presentación con los datos generales de autor(es) que incluyan: A. Nombre completo. B. Centro o departamento a que se encuentra(n) adscrito (si laboralmente. C. Dirección postal institucional. D. Máximo nivel de estudios alcanzados (disciplina o campo e institución) y estudios en curso si los hubiera. E. Línea de investigación actual. F. Referencias bibliográficas completas de las últimas 3 o 4 publicaciones (incluye número de páginas). G. Cualquier otra actividad o función profesional destacada que corresponda. H. Teléfono y dirección de correo electrónico.

 

8. Los trabajos deberán cumplir con las siguientes características: A. Se presentarán impresos a un espacio y medio (1.5), en tipo Times New Roman de 11 puntos, sin cortes de palabras, con una extensión de 15 a 40 cuartillas para el caso de investigaciones (incluidos cuadros, notas y bibliografía); de 10 a 20 para las notas críticas, y de 3 a 5 en el caso de reseñas de libros. B. Los trabajos presentados en Word, no deberán contener formato alguno: sin sangrías, espaciado entre párrafos, no deberá emplearse hoja de estilos, caracteres especiales ni más comandos que los que atañen a las divisiones y subdivisiones del trabajo. C. Los cuadros, así como las gráficas, figuras y diagramas, deberán presentarse en el mismo espacio donde debe ir insertado en el texto a publicar. Deberán estar almacenados en una versión actualizada de Excel (para las gráficas y cuadros o tablas). Los cuadros, mapas, planos y figuras serán numerados con el sistema arábigo (cuadro, figura… 1, 2, 3, etc.). En cuanto a estas últimas, deberán manejarse en formato jpg a 300 dpi como mínimo. D. Los títulos o subtítulos deberán diferenciarse entre sí; para ello se recomienda el uso del sistema decimal. E. Se usará la notación Harvard para las referencias dentro del texto; es decir: apellido del autor, año y página escrito entre paréntesis: (Autor, 2000: 20). F. La bibliografía no debe extenderse innecesariamente -la estrictamente citada en el texto- y deberá contener (en este mismo orden): nombre del autor, año de edición (entre paréntesis), título del artículo (entrecomillado) y título del libro o revista (en cursivas), editorial, número, ciudad y número total de páginas en el caso de un texto integrado. Ejemplo: A. Apellidos, Nombre (Año), Título del libro, Editorial, Ciudad. B. Apellidos, Nombre, Apellidos, Nombre (Año), Título del libro, Editorial, Ciudad. C. Apellidos, Nombre (Año) “Título del capítulo de libro”, en Nombre Apellidos (coordinador), Título del libro, Ciudad, pp. D. Apellidos, Nombre (Año) “Título del artículo”, en Nombre Apellidos (coordinador), Título de la revista de Institución, Ciudad, Volúmen, Número, pp.

 

9. La estructura mínima del trabajo incluirá una introducción que refleje con claridad los antecedentes del trabajo, su desarrollo y conclusiones.

 

10. Si se presenta el original impreso (incluyendo texto, gráficas, cuadros y otros apoyos), debe adjuntarse un disquete, o mejor aún, en disco compacto, con los archivos de texto en Word.

 

11. RVI se reserva el derecho de hacer los cambios editoriales que considere convenientes. No se devuelven los originales.

 

12. Todo investigador es libre de enviar, su propuesta de artículo a la Revista Vectores de Investigación, para que sea arbitrado, por dos pares ciegos, tras ser aceptado el texto, pasa al proceso de inclusión en el número de la revista correspondiente.

POLÍTICA DE EVITACIÓN DE PLAGIO

La Revista Vectores de Investigación hace uso de un mecanismo apropiado para evitar el plagio en el contenido de los artículos que publica, acomodándose a los estándares de porcentajes de originalidad que se demanda internacionalmente. Los artículos son revisados por dos pares ciegos.

 

 

 

 

INFORMATION FOR CONTRIBUTORS

 

Revista Vectores de Investigación (RVI) is a journal open to all disciplines related to social science, humanities and health in the context of specific regions and cities. It is also open to different viewpoints and methodologies; however, it has no responsibility for to the content of its papers. Articles are reviewed by two blind pairs. The originals of the manuscripts submitted to be considered for publication will undergo an editorial process comprising several stages:

 

1. The manuscripts submitted to RVI must have an eminently academic character. Due to the nature of the journal, it is impossible to accept journalistic or general comment papers about any subject.

 

2. The name of the author(s) or any other form of identification must only appear in the cover page.

 

3. The collaborations must be submitted in their final and complete version, since it will be impossible to accept changes once the refereeing and production processes have started.

 

4. Once it has been decided that the paper complies with the requirements established by the journal, it will be sent to two readers who anonymously will determine whether the article will be: A. Published without changes. B. Published once minor corrections have been made. C. Published once a major revision has been made or D. Rejected. In the case in which both results differ from each other, the article will be sent to a third referee, whose decision will determine the result of the refereeing process. In all cases, the results are unappeasable. The articles submitted by staff of an academic institution will always be submitted for consideration to referees external to it.

 

5. The authors agree to grant RVI permission to distribute their material in the journal, as well as in magnetic and photographic media. The patrimonial rights of the papers published in RVI are transferred to Centro de Investigación de Estudios Comparados de América Latina (CIECAL), after the academic and editorial acceptance to publish and distribute the manuscript, both in print and electronically. 

 

6. Likewise, the authors retain their moral rights as established by law. The main author will receive a copyright transfer form that must be signed, with the understanding that the rest of the authors have given their agreement. The authors also retain their right to use the material in their papers in other works or books published by themselves, provided that they die RVI as the original source of the text. It is the responsibility of the authors to obtain the corresponding written permission to use material in their papers that is protected by Copyright Law.

 

7. The collaborations must include the following information: A. Title of the paper, preferably brief, which clearly refers to its content. It is considered accepted and convenient to have a subtitle in order to clarify and define the content of the collaboration. B. An abstract in the language in which the paper is written and that does not exceed 150 words. The abstract must contain concise information about the contents of the article: main results, method and conclusions. It must not contain tables, numbers, bibliographic references or mathe-matical expressions. It must also be accompanied by three to five keywords, which will be used for bibliographic indexation purposes. The RVI editorial office will be responsible for the appropriate translations. C. A front-page with general information about the authors, including: A. Full Name. B. Centre or Department of affiliation. C. Postal address of their institution. D. Maximum educational attainment (discipline and institution) and, current studies (in case this applies). E. Current research lines. F. Bibliographic references of the latest 3 or 4 publications (including page numbers). G. Mention to any other relevant professional activities or positions. H. Telephone and e-mail address.

 

8. The collaborations must have the following characteristics: A. The manuscript must be printed with 1.5 line spacing, in 11 point Times New Roman fonts and without truncated words. The extension of the manuscript must be between 15 and 40 pages for research papers (including tables, notes and bibliography); between 10 and 20 pages for critics papers and between 3 and 5 for book reviews. B. The manuscript must be typed using upper- and lower-case letters and with appropriate tildes and accents. In case of using Microsoft Word, the manuscripts must not have any given format, i. e. do not use indentations or paragraph spacing, do not apply styles, do not use special characters or more commands than the ones needed for sections and subsections in the paper. C. Tables, as well as graphs, figures and diagrams must be included in separate pages and grouped at the end of the manuscript. The main body must have clear information about the place where they must be inserted. In case they are submitted electronically, the graphs and tables must be sent in the most updated Microsoft Excel format. It is impossible to accept them in any other format, older software or inserted in the text file. The tables, figures, maps, plans must be numbered with Arabic numerals (table 1, 2, 3, etc.). The format of the latter must be jpg with 300 dpi as a minimum. D. Sections and subsections must be easily distinguished; to that end we recommend the usage of a decimal system. E. Citation of references must be in the Harvard system, in other words: author's surname, rumiearion and page, all in brackets: (Writer, 2000: 20). F. The bibliography must not be unnecessarily extended - include only the references cited in the text — and must include (in this order): name of the author, year of publication (in brackets), title of the paper (in quotation marks), tile of the book or journal (in italics), publisher, number, city and total number of pages in case of an integrated text. Example: A. Surname, Name (Year), Book title, Publisher, City. B. Surname, Name, Surname, Name (Year), Book title, Publisher, City. C.  Surname, Name (Year) “Title of chapter in book” First name Last Name (coordinator or editing, for example), Book Title, City, C.Surname, Name (Year) “Title of magazine article” in Journal Title Institution, City, Volume, Number, pp.

 

9. The minimum structure of the paper must include an introduction that clearly reflects the background of the work, as well as its body and conclusions.

 

10. If the originals are submitted in print (including text, figures, tables and other support material), it is necessary to include a floppy or preferably a cd with the text files (MicroSoft Word or Word Perfect in rtf format compatible with pc) and the support material. The name of the files must be printed in the front of the disk. Notice that there must be a file per table and/or figure.

 

11. RVI reserves the right to make all the changes that are considered to be pertinent. The originals submitted to the editorial office will not be returned.
